I took this on our floriba-vacation.  Libby still sleeps with her eye open, which makes Jasmine laugh

"The typical Chinese roof probably dates from c 1500 BC, but it is known only from the Han dynasty (202 BC - AD 200). Graceful, overhanging, sometimes in tiers, with upturned eaves. Roof tiles were colorfully glazed and painted."

My camera isn't this bad -- I'm telling everyone that China really is over saturated in color (or the rain made the colors bright).  Amazing to look at the sky, it was just 'white-out' from pollution.  The pollution when I was there was over powering, tough to even walk out side without my eyes watering.

Dad took this picture in 1959, so I suppose 3 years old is John, or is it Steve?  Mom, who is it?

Favorite picture of Jasmine listening to a story

I just was looking through my picture, and saw this one from my trip to San Antonio -- thought I'd post it for fun...Not a bad picture, but over exposed on the right hand side -- have to do better....

It was quite a week for them, first Christmas Eve (The whole drive home on Christmas Eve, Jasmine kept looking into the sky asking 'Will Santa still come to our house even if I'm not home yet?')  Jazz was worried that she wouldn't get home in time and Santa would skip her house.  She made me open the "sky window" (sun roof) in the car so she could keep watching the sky.  When we got home I showed her the Santa Mapper and Santa was still over Virginia, so she raced to bed.  Libby (of course) was already lights out.  Jasmine wanted to put out Milk and Cookies for Santa, but I told her that Santa got Milk from all the other houses, and that she should put out a shot of Jack Daniel's if she wanted extra presents.  She was torn, so she decided to put out both the milk and liquor.
